Wondering what equipment your son or daughter will need this year for Little League?

Torrington Little League provides each player with a TLL baseball cap and numbered game shirt/jersey.  You will need to provide baseball socks and baseball pants to match the jersey.  This will serve as your child's game uniform, so we strongly recommend that you do not purchase these items until your coach tells you which colors you will need to buy.  In addition, your child will be required to wear cleats.  The cleats can be any color, as long as they are rubber on the bottom (metal spikes are not permitted).  

Boys are required to wear an athletic supporter ("cup") for ALL practices and games.

Your child is required to bring their own glove and a water bottle to all games/practices.  Most players also bring their own bat, batting helmet, and bat bag, but these items are optional.  Your child's coach will have bats and helmets to use if your child does not own one.

If you purchase a bat for your child, please make sure that it is Little League approved BEFORE YOU BUY IT. There are bats on the market that are sized for children but are not LLI-approved, and if your child has one, they will not be permitted to use it.   If you are unsure about which bats are acceptable, check out the information linked here:

Also please note that Little League International does not permit the use of mirrored/reflective batting helmets (of any color).  If your child can see his/her face in their helmet, it's not a helmet they will be permitted to use.
